To hire a full-time professional internally would cost over $100k - not to mention the benefits, laptops, gear, insurance, etc. They also wouldn't have the insight from over $5M in technology projects over the last year. And when the project finishes, you probably won't have enough work to keep them busy, which means you'd have to go through a couple of "restructures". Oh, and when they start dropping the ball, you have to put them on a 12-week performance plan, go through the entire process again, lose months of your internal teams work, waste precious money and time onboarding - just so you can attempt to login to that payroll system you love so much, forget your password, have someone reset it after 30 minutes of waiting - all to do some boring admin because they've called in "sick".
